Trader Places $40 Million Bet, Expects Meta’s Remarkable 158% Rally to Continue
The spread trade consisted of approximately 52,000 $600 calls expiring in December of that year, countered by more than 26,000 contracts of call options that allowed the buyer to acquire shares at $320 each by January 17, 2025.
The bet is very expensive, costing more than $15 per share, or $40.6 million in premium. This means that shares would need to rise about 8% to break even.
